Royal Champion horse makes the cover of Saddle Up! Magazine

August 24th, 2010 by Megan No comments »

We love to hear the success stories of our Royal Champion horses and this one just had to be shared…

Art is a 19 year old Quarter Horse who was not able to be taken care of so Dawn his current owner of 2 years decided to step in and give the horse a new start and a healthy life.  Art came to his new home underweight and with skin problems that caused him to rub off patches of hair.  Dawn had tried every supplement of all prices and spent endless amounts in vet bills to get him back on track so her daughter would be able to ride him.  After 8 months, Art began to look better and they used him on the local equestrian team, during the season she had started to notice that Art was looking  “uncomfortable” and “off” and decided it would be best to remove him from the team.  In order to fix the problems they tried using all of the joint supplements on the market, and even a chiropractor but nothing seemed to work.

Art before his treatments and prior to using Royal Champion

Dawn spoke to her local Royal Champion Representative about the product and decided to give it a try, Art was put on a 5 week trial bag and within 1 week she noticed a change in his behavior and his coat began to “glow”.  Of course the biggest change while on Royal Champion Dawn stated is, “Art does not appear to be uncomfortable or stiff and picks up the correct lead every time he is asked!”.  Now Art’s new and improved photo has made the cover of the August 2010 Saddle Up! Magazine, a equine business and advertisement magazine that covers Michigan and Ohio.  Congratulations to Art and Dawn, we are so happy to see the success that you’ve had and wish you all the best!

Art on the cover of Saddle Up! Magazine and currently on Royal Champion supplements

“Your product is amazing and I will be trying it on the horse my daughter uses for speed events as well.  I was skeptical at first spending yet more money on a supplement but I am truly glad I did!” -Dawn, MI

Horse Supplements: Essential Information About Their Benefits

May 17th, 2010 by Royal Champion No comments »

Royal Champion horse supplement company develops and manufactures complete vitamin and mineral supplements for horses utilizing all natural ingredients of the highest quality. Our equine supplements contain an appropriate balance of all of the vital nutrients required to bring a horse to peak fitness, keep them healthy and strong, and provide them with the additional energy and stamina they demand. The combination of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, essential amino acids, and special components improve and support a robust immune system, and give advanced support for the horses’ joints, muscle tone, hooves, coat, digestion, and stamina.

Here are just a few reasons why horse supplements are necessary for your horse’s health and nutrition:

* Inconsistent or poor hay quality or pastures.

* Lack of grazing opportunities.

* Geographical vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

* Specific needs – better hoof growth, support for joints, muscle tone, more energy and stamina, shinier coat, senior horse needs, and more.

* Electrolytes to replenish the minerals lost in sweat when a horse performs at a high intensity level. Horses in heavy competition or under high physical stress, especially in conditions of high heat and humidity, often need electrolyte supplementation.

* Horses recovering from an illness or infection. For example, horses that have been on broad-spectrum antibiotic treatments could be at risk for deficiencies of vitamin K and the B vitamins.

* Horses in high-stress situations, such as frequent traveling or showing/racing, benefit from vitamin supplements.

While it is essential for many horses and parts of the country to add an equine vitamin supplement like Royal Champion to the horse feeding routine, it’s always a good idea to consult with your veterinarian before adding a supplement to your horse’s diet.

Cod Liver Oil in Royal Champion Horse Supplements

May 12th, 2010 by Royal Champion No comments »

Cod Liver Oil is rich in omega – 3 essential polyunsaturated, long chain fatty acids and contains large amounts of preformed vitamin A, vitamin D, and small amounts of the important bone- and blood-maintainer vitamin K.

Cod Liver Oil is an excellent source of two specific Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. These Omega–3 fatty acids have very strong anti-inflammatory properties.  They form the building blocks for the production of anti-inflammatory hormone like substances in the blood called prostaglandins. Vitamin A is a strong anti-oxidant found in quality horse supplement that prevents cell damage in the horse’s body by interacting with harmful free radicals.  Vitamin D3 maintains a healthy musculo-skeletal system and plays an important part in the production of cartilage in the joints.  Vitamin D3 also promotes the development and function of the brain and is important in mediating intestinal magnesium and calcium absorption, bone calcium metabolism and muscle development.

Cod Liver Oil is beneficial for horse’s joints, hooves, immune system, respiratory system, heart, nervous system, blood circulation, metabolism, wound healing, and temperament.  It is also an important factor in producing a healthy, shiny coat, reducing disease, and has anti-allergenic properties.

Dr. Cook says:

“The fish oil is natural cod liver oil from the north Atlantic packed with essential nutrients, particularly vitamins A and Ds.  It is a unique constituent special to Royal Champion horse supplements.  The BIG asset is that it produces a super shine on a horse’s coat which looks great.  You can pick out a Royal Champion horse from the pack.”

Horse Vitamin Supplements: Nutritional Needs Of Horses

April 12th, 2010 by Royal Champion No comments »
Oats are typically identified as a most desired foodstuff for equines. About fifty percent of oats combined with standard supplements are suggested for thoroughbreds in training with about 40% of grass or hay. The remainder is made up of wheat, bran, chaff, or barley and Royal Champion Horse Supplements at all phases of their lives. This is the primary way to ward off deficiencies. High quality grass can contain approximately 15% protein, but the content of bad quality grass or hay may be as little as 2.5%.

Grass and hay quality relies on the necessary mineral ingredients in the dirt on which it grows. A lot of soils are lacking nevertheless in one or way more vital mineral nutrients in the horses’ nutrition. Soils might vary in content possibly from one pasture to another. The only avenue to prevent this hit and miss event is to mix Royal Champion Horse Supplements with the equine’s cereals to ensure that the vitamins and trace elements necessary are obtainable.

A grownup horse below average workload entails approximately two kgs of feed per day (air dried weight) per one hundred kgs of body weight (4 lb 6oz per 220lb).

Proteins makeup – after any other liquid – the most abundant constituent to the equine’s body. An ample basis of proteins which often are commonly obtainable are important to repair muscular wear and tear and accumulating or repairing the horse’s body tissues. Royal Champion Premium Horse Supplements are paramount in providing vitamin supplements and amino acids as the building blocks to revive standard protein quantities rapidly.

If a horse is not fed immediately after arduous exertion (within just a couple of hours) with Royal Champion Horse Vitamins Supplement, the high performance horse will suffer long-lasting injury to its body tissues, especially in their legs with a decrease in muscle mass energy and in stages of performance.

Horse Supplements from Royal Champion: Feeding Performance Horses

April 6th, 2010 by Royal Champion No comments »
Horse supplements like Royal Champion are designed to make up for any deficiency in an equine’s diet in terms of quality and quantity. To do this, we must first understand the basics of the horses normal feeding habits and the quality of their normal feed rations. For well being and maximum performance, excellent feeding ranks with high-quality breeding, schooling and training. Here are just a few basic facts about the normal feeding habits of horses:
Horses are fussy or picky eaters and their own refusal to feed on anything at all, particularly horse supplements, can cause owners and horse trainers great inconvenience and perhaps even stress. Ultimately, their refusal means that they’re not merely susceptible to deficiencies of essential nutrients but their ingestion of the day-to-day supplements Royal Champion provides suffers too.

Horses may shy away from their horse supplements as a result of their age, style of pasture, aroma, quality, physical characteristics (appearance and physical form) and their particular partiality to selected flavors. These influences can be a catalyst for poor consumption.

The equine’s stomach is somewhat small and can’t contain a full feed plus many liters or gallons of water at the same time. Water must be of very good quality and is better offered when the equine is at rest and permitted to drink lower quantities regularly.

Horses chew up their feed and horse supplements thoroughly and for that reason require reasonably long feeding times, usually about 1 hour.

To avoid deficiencies of salt in all phases of their lives, horses should have access to salt in the form of free standing blocks of “licks”, and should be feed Royal Champion supplements (all of which contain salt). A deficiency of salt will also affect the horse’s feeding habits.
